A new report commissioned by The Liver Foundation reveals the social and economic impact of liver cancer on Australians and on the health system. With estimated 1916 new HCC cases diagnosed, particularly between 55-59 years of age, the total cost of HCC in Australia in 2019-2020 was estimated to be $4.8 billion. This comprehensive report provides essential data to support the need for increased funding for research, prevention and therapy in HCC.
