The revised Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Clinical Indicator User Manual (version 3) is available on the ACHS website. Data collection will commence in January 2019.
The manual has been endorsed by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) and Gastroenterological Nurses College of Australia (GENCA).
Representatives of GESA chaired the review of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Clinical Indicators. The review and update of the indicators was a collaborative, multi-organisational effort including the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), Australian Private Hospitals Association (APHA), Day Hospitals Australia (DHA), GENCA and Consumer representatives.
