GESA is running only one Capsule Endoscopy Workshop in 2026, with no additional course at AGW - so register now! It is designed for physicians, surgeons, and advanced trainees looking to develop or enhance their skills in capsule endoscopy. LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the indications for and practice of capsule endoscopy including equipment, software and reading;
  • Recognise normal and abnormal findings including a range of pathology; and
  • Be able to provide an accurate report including advice on appropriate further investigation and management.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

  • Physicians and surgeons recognised by the CCRTGE in endoscopy who are commencing the practice of capsule endoscopy or experienced users who have not previously attended a capsule endoscopy course;
  • Advanced trainees learning the practice of capsule endoscopy; and
  • Medical practitioners performing endoscopy.

FORMAT:

  • Lectures by : Dr Lauren Beswick, A/Prof Ashley Miller, A/Prof Robert Feller and Dr Emilia Prakoso
  • Workshop: This workshop includes a dedicated 45-minute session of the program to give industry partners the opportunity the demonstrate their technology. During this session they will be able to guide delegates through the use of the equipment, review real capsule endoscopy footage and showcase key software features and functionality, including highlighting any new or advanced capabilities. The hands-on session is highly interactive and allows delegates to engage directly with the technology and ask questions.
