EUS Australia 2025 is a state-of-the-art, national one-and-a-half day workshop focused on the current and future utilities of endoscopic ultrasound in the diagnosis and management of various gastroenterological disorders.


Comprehensive, yet succinct, the workshop reviews the current understanding of disease states, their diagnosis, and management. There’s no greater opportunity to further knowledge on EUS in Australia! This important workshop aims to bring together international and national experts in the field to update, discuss, and demonstrate the utility of EUS in clinical practice.

Speakers:

Dr Vinay Dhir
Vinay Dhir
Dr Dhir completed his advanced endoscopy fellowship at the Academic Medical Centre Amsterdam in 1994. He is currently the Chairman of the Institute of Digestive Liver Care, S L Raheja Hospital, Mumbai, India. His principal interests are interventional hepatobiliary endoscopy, including interventional EUS. Dr Dhir has authored over 100 original articles and 60 abstracts in peer-reviewed journals, along with 12 book chapters. He was the first convener of the EUS working group of India set up by SGEI and is on the steering committee of the Asian EUS group.
Dr Shannon Chan
Shannon Chan
Dr Shannon Chan is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Division of Upper Gastrointestinal & Metabolic Surgery at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on gastric cancers, laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, and interventional endoscopic ultrasound. She has received multiple awards, including the Young Investigator Award in EUS Summit 2022, and has over 92 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr Takeshi Ogura
Takeshi Ogura
Dr Takeshi Ogura is a Professor at Osaka Medical College Hospital and the 2nd Department of Gastroenterology. He is an associate editor for BMC Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy Open and serves on editorial boards of multiple journals. He is a fellow of the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society and Japan Pancreatic Society, among others.
