Amy Gray

Professor Amy Gray is the Stevenson Chair and Head of Department of Paediatrics at The University of Melbourne. She is a General Paediatrician at the Royal Children’s Hospital, an educator and researcher. Her contributions in research and education aim to understand how to build the capability of health professionals and therefore the improve the quality of health care for children, both locally and globally. She has led to a program of work to improve paediatric care in a range of contexts including redesigning education programs for impact, implementation research for oxygen systems and child death review, and interventions to strengthen work-based learning for health professionals. In 2023, she led the establishment of an Asia Pacific Network for Leading in Learning Health Systems. Professor Gray has been a consultant for WHO, UNICEF, Save the Children and the Asian Development Bank and on the Executive Committee of the International Pediatric Association.
