
Vincent Chiu
Vincent Chiu is a second-year PhD student in the South Western Sydney Clinical School of UNSW Sydney. His PhD is investigating the role of mutation burden and the DNA damage response in the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma, with a focus on the gene SMG1. Vincent graduated from a Bachelor of Medical Science in 2015 and did Honours in the School of Medical Sciences in 2016 at UNSW Sydney before beginning his current PhD at the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research in Liverpool under Professor Nicholas Shackel.
