Anna Weis

Anna Weis recently submitted her PhD thesis at the University of Queensland and continues to work as a Research Scientist in the Hepatic Fibrosis Group at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute. Anna completed her Bachelor of Science at the Georg-August University in Goettingen, Germany followed by a Master of Biotechnology at the University of Queensland.

Her work focuses on investigating the potential of circulating microRNAs as non-invasive biomarkers in liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
