Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist or Senior Medical Officer (Gastroenterology) Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child & Youth Services – Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service
Remuneration value up to $432,274 p.a. (L25 – L27) or rup to $395,463 p.a. (L18 – L24) or rup to $282,257(L13), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional development allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a. plus private practice arrangements.
An opportunity exists to join a committed team of gastroenterologists whose key areas of responsibility include running a busy endoscopy service (~6,000 cases per year), general gastroenterology and hepatology clinics, participating in the Gastroenterology Outreach program, teaching, mentoring and undertaking clinical research activities. There is the potential to develop a sub-specialty role in the area of inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, interventional endoscopy or oesophageal motility.
As a Senior Staff Specialist/Staff Specialist/ Senior Medical Officer Gastroenterology you will be a valuable and valued team member. You will work with the Director of Gastroenterology, Cairns Hospital, to ensure the gastroenterology services we provide are of the highest standard and delivered safely, reliably and efficiently.
It is a condition of employment for the employee in this role to be, and remain, vaccinated against or non-susceptible to the following vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs): measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), varicella (chicken pox) pertussis (whooping cough) and hepatitis B.
