Gastroenterologist
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Trust are looking to appoint a Senior Clinical Fellow to further develop their expertise in specialist endoscopy.
The position is at our current inpatient facility at The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Trust and our new Quadram Unit which is a 'state of the art' endoscopy department within a scientific and clinical research trials institute.
This position will allow the appointee to develop expertise in complex EMR (oesophageal/gastric and colonic). It would also provide exposure to a range of therapeutic endoscopic techniques.
The appointee will be performing upper GI inpatient emergency gastroenterology endoscopy and attending specialist MDTs and providing limited clinic provision.
Norwich is home to our beautiful, purpose-built hospital which is the sixth-largest acute trust in the U.K. Located on the same site as the Research Park and next to the renowned University of East Anglia we are a teaching hospital with a strong focus around career development and research.
Our gastroenterology department has recently benefited from a huge investment with the construction of the 'state of the art' Quadram Institute. We can now carry out 40,000 procedures each year making NNUH home to the largest endoscopy unit in Europe.
NNUH is a centre for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programmes. We are a centre of excellence for endoscopy training and offer approved courses for doctors and nurses.
